Avoid This October 24, 2009 Duffer. (Conyers, GA United States) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This is a certifiable piece of junk. It lacks sufficient power to cut anything. Worx has a similiar product with a decent battery. I replaced my B & D with the Worx and it does a better job.
Wonderful!!! September 12, 2009 garden lover (Plymouth, MI) I used this shearer one evening to edge my garden and immediately fell in love. It cuts cleanly and is easy to control. Also, with the need to push two switches to have the shearer operate, I feel safe that I won't cut off any fingers. I highly recommend this item.
great shear September 9, 2009 Saul Jay Gordon (Hollywood,Florida) I love this shear/shrubber,it works very very well and does exactly what i wanted it for.
Shear Happiness June 30, 2009 Wayne L. Podolak (WI) Works much better than the previous one which easliy stopped when cutting thick grass. Feels much more powerfull and does not slow down. Heve not yet tried the shrubbver attachment but I did not intend to use it for that purpose. I would recommend this unit over the lower priced and performing units.
Hedge Trimmer was good while it lasted. Grass shear is worthless. June 25, 2009 Walt in Pittsburgh (Pittsburgh, PA) Have owned this for around a year and a half. The grass shear could not cut anything. I agree with another review that all you do is pull out grass. It finally would just jam the two blades whenever you tried to cut. I liked the hedge trimmer to manicure our shrubs, but now the battery is failing. This seems to be typical with Black and Decker and DeWalt Brands (the same company). I would love to find something like this for our shrubs that I can actually depend on. Don't buy this item.
